How to Comment on Media

Comments allow users to provide feedback or join a conversation on any media. You can post, edit, delete, reply to, and like comments from the media playback page.

NOTE: Comments are only available when Allow Comments is enabled at both the portal and media level. To learn more, see How to Configure Comments in Portal and How to Allow Comments and Comment Moderation for a Media.

Add a Comment​

  1. From the portal homepage or media library, select the media you want to comment on.
  2. On the playback page, scroll down to the comments section below the player.
  3. Enter your comment in the text input field.
  4. Select Post.

If comment moderation is enabled, the comment is not visible until approved by a moderator. To learn more, see How to Moderate Comments.

Edit a Comment​

  1. Locate your comment in the comments section.
  2. Select the edit icon on your comment.
  3. Modify the comment text in the editable field.
  4. Select Update.

To discard changes, select Cancel.

Delete a Comment​

  1. Locate your comment in the comments section.
  2. Select the delete icon on your comment.

If the comment has replies, a "Comment deleted by user" message displays in place of the original comment.

Reply to a Comment​

  1. Locate the comment you want to reply to.
  2. Select Reply.
  3. Enter your reply in the text input field.
  4. Select Post.

Replies appear nested under the original comment.

Like a Comment​

Select the like icon on any comment to register your feedback. The like count updates next to the icon.
